Lauren Jordan

Lauren is an attachment-based psychotherapist and BACP-registered counsellor in private practice in Surrey, and has worked with both young people and adults across mental health agencies and private practice.

She works with a wide range of clients and presenting issues, with attachment theory at the heart of her practice. For Lauren, attachment offers a way of understanding whatever brings someone to therapy, whether that’s relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-worth or stress, by making sense of patterns that often began long before the presenting issue. Her work focuses on helping clients understand and repair relationships, including the one they have with themselves. It’s this lens she’s excited to share with students, and to help you bring confidently into your own client work.

Before training as a therapist, Lauren spent her career in corporate HR and leadership, supporting people to learn, develop and grow into new roles. That experience shapes how she teaches: she knows that training can feel exposing, and she’s committed to creating a space where you feel supported to take risks, ask questions and find your own way of working.

She’s especially passionate about creative approaches to therapy, building and adapting resources for the moments when words aren’t enough. Expect the same in the training room: practical, hands-on and grounded in real client work, so you leave with tools you can use, not just theory.
