Online Therapy Across the UK and Face-to-Face Therapy in South Birmingham

Welcome, I’m Amanda

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may find yourself repeating painful relationship patterns, struggling with anxiety, avoiding conflict, putting other people’s needs before your own, or feeling stuck in ways you do not fully understand.

Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore your experiences together. Therapy can help you make sense of the challenges you are facing, understand yourself more deeply, and begin to create change in the areas of life that feel difficult or painful.

Compassionate Therapy for Anxiety, Relationships and Attachment Difficulties

I work with compassion, curiosity and respect. I believe that our thoughts, feelings and behaviours often make sense when they are understood in the context of our life experiences, relationships and early attachment patterns.

At the same time, I believe that change is possible.

My aim is to provide a supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can begin to understand what may be happening beneath the surface, including the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself, to others, and to the world around you.

Attachment-Informed and Psychodynamic Therapy

My approach is relational, collaborative and grounded in attachment and psychodynamic theory. This means that we may explore how your past experiences continue to influence your relationships, your sense of self, your emotional wellbeing and the way you respond to stress, closeness, conflict or loss in the present.

Therapy is not about erasing what has happened. It is about understanding its impact, developing greater self-compassion, and creating new possibilities for how you relate to yourself and others.

Through our work together, therapy can support you to build emotional resilience, recognise unhelpful patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and feel more secure in your relationships and daily life.

Areas I Can Support You With

I work with adults aged 18 and over from all backgrounds. I offer an inclusive therapy space that is sensitive to culture, identity and individual experience.

I support people with a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Attachment issues and insecure relationship patterns
  • Loss, bereavement and grief
  • Difficult family dynamics
  • Low self-worth and people-pleasing
  • Childhood and developmental wounds
  • Emotional overwhelm or feeling stuck
  • The impact of abuse or painful past experiences
  • Difficulties with conflict, boundaries or trust

Clients often describe me as warm, steady and thoughtful. I bring care, sensitivity and curiosity to our work, helping you feel supported as you begin to make sense of experiences that may have felt confusing, painful or hard to speak about.

Free 15-Minute Introductory Call
