Abi Perryman – Individuals and Couples

Supervisor
Online

Hi, I’m Abi Perryman, an Integrative Psychotherapist, Couples Therapist and Clinical Supervisor based in Milton Keynes. I offer individual psychotherapy, couples therapy and clinical supervision face-to-face from my private garden practice, The Bloom Room, as well as online therapy and supervision across the UK.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely seen, heard and understood. You may be struggling with anxiety or depression, trying to make sense of difficult relationship patterns, living with the impact of trauma or childhood experiences, grieving a loss, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what needs to change.

Whatever brings you to therapy, I offer a calm and compassionate space where we can begin to understand your experiences together.

My work is grounded in attachment theory and an understanding of how our earliest relationships can shape the way we experience ourselves, other people and the world around us. These early experiences can influence how we manage emotions, respond to conflict, experience closeness and cope when we feel vulnerable or under pressure.

Alongside my attachment-focused approach, I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy and EMDR. I work integratively, which means I tailor therapy to the person or couple in front of me rather than expecting you to fit a particular model of therapy.

I have a particular interest in trauma, attachment, neurodiversity, relationship difficulties and the lasting impact of childhood experiences.

Couples Therapy in Milton Keynes and Online

I work with couples who want to understand their relationship at a deeper level. You may find yourselves having the same arguments, feeling emotionally disconnected or struggling to communicate without conversations quickly becoming difficult.

Couples therapy can offer a space to explore the patterns that have developed between you, understand what may be happening beneath conflict and begin to find different ways of relating to one another.

I support couples experiencing relationship difficulties, communication problems, loss of trust and emotional disconnection, as well as couples who simply want to strengthen their relationship and understand each other better.

Clinical Supervision for Therapists

I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists, both in Milton Keynes and online across the UK.

My approach to supervision is reflective and collaborative. I provide a supportive space to think deeply about your client work, explore relational and attachment dynamics and consider your own responses within the therapeutic relationship.

My aim is to support therapists to develop their clinical practice, deepen their understanding of their clients and grow in confidence in their work.

Above all, I see therapy and supervision as collaborative journeys. My role isn’t to tell you who you should be. It is to help you understand yourself more deeply and reconnect with who you are beneath the adaptations life may have required of you.
