Hello, I’m Sharn. I offer individual counselling, couples therapy and clinical supervision, bringing an attachment-focused approach to understanding emotions, relationships and the experiences that shape us.

I provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore what feels difficult and feel heard and understood. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties or the lasting impact of earlier experiences. Or perhaps you simply sense that something needs to change, without yet knowing what that might look like.

My attachment-focused approach

Attachment-focused counselling explores how our earlier experiences of care and connection influence how we feel about ourselves and what we expect from relationships.

Ways of coping that once helped us may continue into adulthood, shaping how we manage emotions, express our needs and respond to conflict or emotional distance. You might notice yourself withdrawing, seeking reassurance or finding it difficult to trust that others will be there for you.

Together, we can explore what these patterns mean in your life, with curiosity and compassion. My aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and explore ways of relating that offer greater connection, choice and emotional safety.

Individual counselling for anxiety, low mood and relationship difficulties

I support individuals navigating emotional difficulties, relationship challenges and periods of change or uncertainty.

Counselling with me offers space to explore:

  • Anxiety, worry and low mood.
  • Difficulties in relationships and repeating relational patterns.
  • The influence of childhood and earlier experiences.
  • Challenges with understanding feelings or expressing emotional needs.
  • A sense of feeling stuck or uncertain about the way forward.

You do not need to arrive with everything worked out. We can begin with what matters to you and explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable.

Couples therapy for communication, conflict and emotional connection

I work with couples who feel caught in repeating arguments, experience emotional distance or struggle to understand one another.

My attachment-focused approach to couples therapy looks beneath the disagreement to explore the feelings, needs and expectations each partner brings. We can consider what happens between you when connection feels uncertain, including patterns of pursuing, withdrawing or becoming defensive.

Together, we can work towards recognising these patterns, communicating more openly and developing a deeper understanding of each other’s emotional needs. The aim is to support a stronger sense of connection and emotional safety within your relationship.

Attachment-informed clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists

I offer clinical supervision as a reflective and collaborative space for counsellors and therapists to explore their client work and deepen their understanding of the therapeutic relationship.

My attachment-informed approach supports reflection on relational dynamics, practitioners’ emotional responses and what may be happening between therapist and client.

Supervision offers space to consider clinical questions, develop confidence in your therapeutic voice and support thoughtful, ethical and sustainable practice.
