Hi, I’m Trudie. I am a registered counsellor supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I offer counselling from my private therapy room on the Isle of Wight, as well as online counselling for adults across the UK.

I provide a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can begin to make sense of what you are experiencing. Therapy can offer time to slow down, reflect, and gently explore the thoughts, feelings and relationship patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing.

How I Work

My practice is grounded in attachment-based counselling. This approach helps us understand how early relationships and life experiences can shape the way we think, feel, cope and relate to others today.

Many of us develop patterns of coping or connecting that once helped us manage difficult experiences, but may no longer feel helpful. In therapy, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, rather than blame or judgement. This can support greater self-understanding, emotional awareness and more secure ways of relating to yourself and others.

I work collaboratively, taking time to understand your individual needs and what feels manageable for you. Together, we can begin to unravel what feels difficult, explore what may be keeping you stuck, and find a way forward that feels grounded and sustainable.
